Kamala Harris canceled a planned car rally with California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) set for Friday on the return leg from her diplomatic trip to Asia. It is reported Harris is flying back to the nation’s capital after a stop in Hawaii after leaving Vietnam.
The announcement of the change in schedule was made by by Harris spokeswoman Symone Sanders, “Following the @VP’s visit to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam this afternoon, the Vice President will return to Washington D.C.”
The car rally rules called for attendees to provide proof of COVID vaccination or a negative COVID test within the previous 72 hours and were asked to bring a mask.
Harris has remained silent on the Kabul airport terror attacks in deference to Joe Biden who did not speak on the attacks until after 5 p.m. EDT, about eight hours after the attack.
