WIN: Utah Bans Puberty Blockers, Hormones and Surgical Sex Change Procedures for Minors

The Transgender Medical Treatment and Procedures bill, SB 16, will prohibit those under 18 from obtaining procedures “for the purpose of effectuating a sex change.”

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox has signed a law banning puberty blockers, hormones, and surgical sex change procedures for minors.

The Transgender Medical Treatment and Procedures bill, SB 16, will prohibit those under 18 from obtaining procedures “for the purpose of effectuating a sex change.”

“Legislation that impacts our most vulnerable youth requires careful consideration and deliberation,” Gov. Cox said in a statement. “While not a perfect bill, we are grateful for Sen. Kennedy’s more nuanced and thoughtful approach to this terribly divisive issue. More and more experts, states and countries around the world are pausing these permanent and life-altering treatments for new patients until more and better research can help determine the long-term consequences.”

Cox continued on to say that “we will continue to push the Legislature for additional resources to organizations that work to help this important Utah community. While we understand our words will be of little comfort to those who disagree with us, we sincerely hope that we can treat our transgender families with more love and respect as we work to better understand the science and consequences behind these procedures.”

According to a report from The Hill, the bill will “also will require medical providers, starting July 1, to consider whether alternative medical treatments to gender-affirming care would provide a minor with the ‘best long-term outcome.’ It will also require them to identify and document any physical or mental health condition and consider if treating those conditions before providing the care will give them the best outcome.”

“Starting Jan. 1 of next year, the law will consider providing hormonal treatment to a transgender youth without a proper certification to be ‘unprofessional conduct,’” the report continues. “Doctors will be able to receive the certification after completing 40 hours of “education” related to transgender health care from an approved organization.”

LGBTQ activists staged a sit-in outside the governor’s office after the bill was signed.

The far-left American Civil Liberties Union of Utah also issued a statement blasting the law.

“Last year you spoke about how important it is to act on the side of ‘kindness, mercy, and compassion,’” the statement read. “We echo the concerns and commitments you raised to give transgender youth in Utah a chance to live. This bill will undermine those commitments. The ACLU of Utah is deeply concerned about the damaging and potentially catastrophic effects this law will have on people’s lives and medical care, and the grave violations of people’s constitutional rights it will cause.”

Gov. Cox signs bills to ban transgender health care for youth, fund $42 million in school vouchers

Gov. Cox signs bills to ban transgender health care for youth, fund $42 million in school vouchers

On Saturday, Gov. Spencer Cox signed bills creating the largest school voucher program in state history and banning most gender-affirming health care for transgender youth.

Gov. Spencer Cox signed two hotly debated bills Saturday: one that will create the largest school voucher program in state history, and another that will ban most gender-affirming health care for transgender youth.

The controversial measures, which have drawn protest and debate since they were introduced, are the first two bills Cox has signed this legislative session, his office said.

In signing the SB16 ban into law, Cox acknowledged it raised a “terribly divisive issue,” but said “experts, states and countries around the world are pausing these permanent and life-altering treatments,” awaiting new research. He also pledged to push for more resources for organizations that support transgender youth.

“While we understand our words will be of little comfort to those who disagree with us,” he said in a statement released Saturday, “we sincerely hope that we can treat our transgender families with more love and respect as we work to better understand the science and consequences behind these procedures.”

He also said HB215, which sets aside $42 million in taxpayer funds to help families pay tuition at private schools, “strikes a good balance.” The program will give Utah parents “additional options to meet the needs of their families,” he said.

Cox praised “teachers and education leaders who helped push for more accountability measures which were not included in the original bill,” and thanked lawmakers for the teacher pay increases that are included in it.

Here’s what the measures will do.

Transgender medical treatment and procedures

SB16 was sponsored by Sen. Mike Kennedy, R-Alpine, and it bars doctors from prescribing hormone therapy for minors who have been diagnosed with “gender dysphoria,” a medical diagnosis of mental distress caused by a conflict between a person’s gender identity and the gender they were assigned at birth.

With the ban in place, the bill said, the Utah Department of Health and Human Services will look at data surrounding the use of those medical treatments and make recommendations for policy changes to lawmakers. It does not set a deadline for the completion of that analysis.

The Utah Senate passed the bill in a 20-8 vote on Friday. Any veto would have likely been overridden by lawmakers, as the bill passed with more than two-thirds support in the House and Senate.

Cox last year vetoed a bill that that would bar transgender girls from participating in school sports matching their gender identities. At the time, Cox wrote an emotional four-page letter to lawmakers explaining his veto, writing that only four transgender children were playing high school sports in Utah out of 75,000 student-athletes in total.

“Rarely has so much fear and anger been directed at so few,” Cox wrote in the letter. “I don’t understand what they are going through or why they feel the way they do. But I want them to live. And all the research shows that even a little acceptance and connection can reduce suicidality significantly.”

Last year’s bill originally created a commission charged with evaluating whether a transgender athlete could participate in a school sport. It was amended to ban transgender girls from female sports on the last day of the session, and Cox’s veto was later overridden by the Utah Legislature in a late March special session.

This year’s bill was signed into law just nine days into the legislative session.

The ban on hormone treatments for transgender youth only applies to new patients, and went into effect immediately when Cox signed the bill.

THIRD Hunter Biden Email from Laptop with Classified Information Uncovered – And SEVERAL More Are Coming

Here are the problems with what was uncovered in this email.

  1. The attachment in the email was a memo of a White House conference call which is classified and therefore would be illegal to share.
  2. The way the email is worded it appears that this was not the first time that Blue Star Strategies received classified information like this.
  3. The memo attached was regarding Joe Biden’s trip to Ukraine which implicates Joe Biden in the sharing of classified information.
  4. The information not only includes Biden’s trip agenda but the Biden/Obama policy on Ukraine.
  5. This email was provided to Burisma, a foreign entity – this is espionage.

The Biden crime family made millions in Ukraine performing nefarious and criminal activities including espionage.

TGP reported on Thursday that the Bidens were using classified information to the benefit of the Hunter Biden family business.

Miranda Devine from the New York Post provided one email that appeared to include classified material from the US government.

TGP determined that this information from the 22-point email came from the US State Department and was classified.  This email included this classified information and Hunter had no security clearance or reason to have this information.

On Sunday night TGP reported a second email that showed Hunter Biden was sharing classified information with individuals at Burisma in Ukraine which is espionage.

Today we have uncovered a third email showing more Biden family crimes related to classified information and espionage.

This email discovered on Hunter Biden’s laptop was sent from Sean Keeley from Blue Star Strategies a firm that has reportedly been under investigation by the DOJ since 2021:

As part of the initial Burisma controversy, the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee then led by U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) investigated Blue Star Strategies and voted to subpoena documents and depositions from the firm. [9]

The 2021 investigation into Blue Star Strategies reportedly centers around its lobbying the U.S. government on behalf of Burisma without registering under the Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA). Witnesses have alleged that Blue Star’s co-founders Sally Painter and Karen Tramontano met with State Department officials as part of their work for the company but did not disclose that Burisma was a client. [10] While Hunter Biden was not revealed to be a subject of the ongoing investigation, the Wall Street Journal reported that the firm’s co-founders mentioned Hunter Biden’s involvement with the company during multiple meetings with the State Department in an effort to improve the company’s image. [11]

Keely’s email went to a number of individuals at Rosemont Seneca, including Hunter Biden and Devon Archer, individuals at Blue Star Strategies, including its CEO Karen Tramontano and Sally Painter, its COO, and one individual from Burisma.

Please Note: This email is original source data taken directly from the Hunter Biden laptop computer by the investigator working with John Paul Mac Isaac.  The chain of custody is known and complete.
