The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability held its first hearing on the impeachment of Joe Biden on Thursday.

The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability held its first hearing on the impeachment of Joe Biden on Thursday.

Republican Chairmen Jim Jordan, James Comer and Jason Smith gave powerful opening statements and made their case against Joe Biden.

“At least ten times, Joe Biden lied to the American people that he never spoke to his family about their business dealings,” Comer said. “He lied by telling the American people that there was an “absolute wall” between his official government duties and his personal life.

“Let’s be clear: there was no wall. The door was wide open to those who purchased what a business associate described as “The Biden Brand,” Comer added.

“Yesterday, the Ways and Means Committee released new documents showing President Biden was not just aware of his son’s business dealings, but he was connected to them. And a newly released message to a Chinese business executive Hunter Biden mentions preserving the ‘keys to my family’s only asset,’ that asset being Joe Biden,” Rep. Jason Smith said.

“The Biden family sold access to Joe Biden’s power — and the Biden DOJ protected the Biden ‘brand,’” Rep. Smith said.

“This is a tale as old as time. Politician takes action that makes money for his family, and then he tries to conceal it. Never forget four fundamental facts. Hunter Biden gets put on the board of Burisma and gets paid a lot of money. Hunter Biden’s not qualified,” Jim Jordan said.

Congressman Byron Donalds released another incriminating WhatsApp message from Hunter Biden to Jim Biden (Joe Biden’s slimy brother).

“Anyway, we can talk later but you’ve been drawn into something for the purpose of protecting Dad – and I know any of the BS money is mine ultimately,” Hunter said in a WhatsApp message to Jim Biden on March 21, 2018.

Rep. Byron Donalds showed one of the impeachment witnesses an organization chart from the IRS investigative team that was looking into the business practices of Hunter Biden and dissected the incriminating text messages.

House Republicans on Wednesday released a smoking gun text message from Jim Biden to Hunter Biden just months before Joe Biden announced he was running for president.

In December 2018, just months before Joe Biden announced he was running for president, Jim Biden text messaged Hunter Biden about working with Joe Biden.

“This can work, you need a safe harbor. I can work with you (sic) father alone !! We as usual just need several months of his help for this to work,” Jim Biden said in a text to Hunter Biden.

Hunter Biden believed IRS investigation would ‘go away’ once Joe took office: House Ways and Means Committee

Hunter Biden believed IRS investigation would ‘go away’ once Joe took office: House Ways and Means Committee

“Producer has an email from Hunter saying he expected all of this ‘stuff’ to go away when his dad becomes President.”

In documents released by the House Ways and Means Committee on Wednesday, it was revealed that Hunter Biden expected the IRS investigation into his business dealings to “go away when his dad becomes president.”

In one email sent on September 22, 2021, an IRS employee revealed that he had been contacted by a CNN producer regarding “Sportsman,” the codename given to the Hunter Biden investigation.

“Producer has an email from Hunter saying he expected all of this ‘stuff’ to go away when his dad becomes President.”

Recipients of the email were former IRS Criminal Investigation Deputy Chief Jim Robnett and IRS CI Chief Jim Lee.

The Ways and Means Committee also released a message in which Hunter Biden once again referred to his father as the “brand” being sold to his business partners.

In one message from June 6, 2017, Hunter Biden wrote, “Bullsh*t James – all around bullsh*t. Explain to me one thing Tony brings to MY table that I so desperately need that I’m willing to sign over my family’s brand and pretty much the rest of my business life? Read the f*cking documents people.”

“It’s plane [sic] f*cking English. Why in gods name would I give this marginal bully the kets my family’s only asset? Why?” he added.

“The scheme generated millions of dollars from foreign countries for members of the Biden family, channeled through a vast array of corporate entities and shell companies,” the Ways and Means Committee wrote.

The documents released by the committee also referenced the removal of “Political Figure 1” from a search warrant in the Hunter Biden investigation. These documents were revealed by the House Oversight Committee earlier in the day.

“Today, the House Ways and Means Committee voted to release new documents provided by the two IRS whistleblowers that corroborate their initial testimony to the Committee and reinforce their credibility and their high esteem among colleagues,” Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith said.

“These documents show a clearer connection between Joe Biden, his public office, and Hunter Biden’s global influence peddling scheme that resulted in over $20 million in payments to the Biden family. In addition to then Vice-President Joe Biden attending lunches and speaking on the phone with his son’s business associates, the details released today paint a fuller picture of how Joe Biden’s vice-presidential office was instrumental to the Biden family’s business schemes.”

Smith said the evidence “shows a pattern of Hunter Biden creating for-profit entities to shield at least $20 million from foreign sources from taxes and hide the trail of payments that led to members of the Biden family,” and that the “growing body of evidence further calls into question the Justice Department’s attempted sweetheart plea deal for Hunter Biden.”

“This evidence makes clear Hunter Biden’s business was selling the Biden ‘brand’ and that access to the White House was his family’s most valuable asset – despite official claims otherwise.”

The release of these documents came one day before the start of the impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden and his family’s overseas business dealings.

The committees will investigate if Biden “…abused his federal office to enrich his family and conceal his and/or his family’s misconduct,” according to the 30-page memo released ahead of Thursday’s hearing.
