CNN Falls Below Food Network Amid Devastating Ratings Dip

Cable TV viewers would apparently rather watch a pot boil than listen to Kaitlan Collins and company.

At least, that’s what the latest Nielsen ratings are saying about the state of CNN, whose viewership has plummeted beyond previous lows in recent weeks. The numbers have become so anemic that Food Network, with its relaxing and consistent diet of baking and cooking contests, has climbed ahead of the struggling news network.

Audience scores for July show CNN sitting in 14th place, far below Fox News, which retained its streak at the top three, as well as mainstream staples like NBC, CBS, and ABC. Even MSNBC, which was forced to slash Rachel Maddow’s sizable salary and lay off once-popular hosts like Joy Behar and Mehdi Hasan, eked out a seventh-place finish.

Viewership for “the most trusted name in news” now averages just over half a million, far below Fox’s 2.6 million and NBC, which sits in second place with just under 4 million viewers on average.

After sharpening its editorial blade against President Donald Trump during his first term, CNN executives told producers to set their swords down this time around. Going forward, on-air talent is discouraged from “pre-judging” Trump based on his past criminal and civil cases, according to an order handed down by CEO Mark Thompson earlier this year.

Still, that hasn’t stopped conservative media figures from tracking every faux pas uttered by anchors.

Erin Burnett became an ignominious center of attention during last week’s Manhattan shooting when she falsely described the shooter as white. And Trump’s focus on the Russia hoax over the past month bewildered CNN correspondent Jeff Zeleny, who struggled to maintain his composure about covering an issue that is nearly a decade old at this point.

“I’m not sure that this White House wants to, uh, talk about, and I’m not sure that we should spend that much more time on it,” he stated.

Nobody embodies antipathy toward CNN better than Collins, the 32-year-old senior White House correspondent who has become somewhat of a punchline among the White House staff and press corps. She has been shushed by President Trump for talking out of turn on multiple occasions. When her questions are allowed, Trump frequently turns them against Collins, as when he accused her of “disrespecting” military service members by asking if the bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities was effective.

More recently, the network took heat for hosting a far-left medical school graduate who insinuated she was a practicing doctor despite having never done so. Her appearance came during a segment where she claimed that Trump’s recent diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency is worse than the White House is making it appear.

Americans get more than HALF of their diet from cancer-causing food, reveals new report

Americans get more than HALF of their diet from cancer-causing food

Americans are getting more than half of their daily calories from ultra-processed, cancer-causing foods, a newly released report from the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics has revealed.

Newly published CDC data shows children and adults get 55 percent of their daily calories from ultra-processed foods (UPFs), which are packed with preservatives, chemicals, and thickening agents to make them more addictive and last longer.

It’s thought that these foods quietly rewrite DNA, disrupt hormones and fuel tumor growth.

And a mountain of recent evidence has increasingly linked them to colon, breast and pancreatic cancers, all of which are on the rise in young people.

Ultra-processed foods are also more pervasive in the diets of younger Americans, as kids and teens got about two-thirds of their calories from these foods from 2021 to 2023.

Additionally, people living below the poverty line were about 20 percent more likely to eat ultra-processed foods than those with higher incomes.

This is most likely because processed foods like white bread, chips and sweets. tend to be cheaper than those that are minimally processed and fresh as fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

The CDC experts also found sandwiches were the most common processed food for both kids and adults, with baked sweets following closely behind. It’s unclear what specifically is on the sandwiches, but they could include processed deli meats that have been linked to colon cancer.

Health secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr has also vowed to strip artificial ingredients out of the US food supply, blaming ultra-processed foods for obesity, heart disease, diabetes and autism.

For adults, ultra-processed foods made up 53 percent of their calories in a day. Children and teens, meanwhile, got 62 percent of their calories from these foods.

Kids between the ages of six and 11 were most likely to eat these foods, with 65 percent of their calories coming from ultra-processed foods. This figure dropped to 63 percent for 12-18-year-olds and to 56 percent for kids under six.

Among adults, ultra-processed foods were most prevalent in the diets of people between ages 19 and 39, as 54 percent of their calories were from these foods. People between ages 40 and 59 got 53 percent of their calorie intake from ultra-processed foods, while this figure dropped slightly to 52 percent for those over 60.

Higher figures in kids and teens could be because the average diet served in schools is made up of around 70 percent ultra-processed foods, according to data from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Pastor Warns Parents: If Democrats Pass AB 495, ‘This Is It. Pack Up, Grab Your Kids, Leave California’

Pastor Warns Parents: If Democrats Pass AB 495, ‘This Is It. Pack Up, Grab Your Kids, Leave California’

Pastor warns parents to leave California if AB 495 passes, claiming it endangers children’s safety.

A nationally known California pastor is calling on parents of underage school children to pack up and leave the state if Assembly Bill 495 passes and is signed into law. The bill makes all underage California school children the target of traffickers and kidnappersby design.

“This is the end of [parental rights],” Calvary Chapel Chino Hills Pastor Jack Hibbs told parishioners last week. “If this bill passes, I’m going to ask you [parents] to leave the state of California. You’re going to have to pack up and you’re gonna have to get out. You gotta get out. You gotta run with your kids. You gotta go.”

With this bill, California Democrats are going all-in on the destroy-the-village-to-save-it rationale for “saving” children illegally in the country, while endangering every other child as well. Indeed, all children legally or illegally in this country could be kidnapped or trafficked under this bill. We don’t understand why it’s acceptable to allow children illegally in the U.S. to be trafficked, but these Democrats are evil. They don’t care about kids or their parents.

A visibly angry Hibbs warned parents attending Calvary Chapel Chino Hills recently that the bill “100% strips parents of their parental rights.”

Hibbs calls AB 495 the “California Legislature Trafficking Bill.” “It’s a meat-market bill. It’s a trafficking bill,” he said.

Here’s how we got here. Last spring, the California Assembly Democrats decided to cleverly switch the language of the California Family Code to somehow “protect” children illegally in the country from feared ICE raids by allowing shirttail relatives or, for that matter, perfect strangers to take them out of school or daycare. This was an apparent attempt to allow NGOs, non-profits, or other groups —you know, the same bunch who lost those more than 300,000 children who were brought over the borders by Joe Biden’s cartel buddies and disappeared— to take the kids again without parental permission or notification. The bill also gives these strangers the ability to provide children with medical and dental care. Think abortions, sex change operations, STD checks, mental exams, and female circumcisions.

Strangers would have to fill out the one-page “Caregivers Authorization Affidavit,” in which they attest that they are granting themselves permission to take custody of a child of their choosing—provided they have the child’s name and birth date. Schools would have to take the stranger’s word for it because no identification, parental notification, or background check is required to find who they are or if they’re a pervert.

Then, the in loco parentis school factotums—or pimps, if you prefer—would bring the victim to the perp.

It’s unconscionable.

Hibbs isn’t acting and he’s not kidding. He’s holding a rally and lobbying session in Sacramento on August 19 to get lawmakers to kill the bill that “100% strips parents of their parental rights.” He’s asking thousands of California parents, grandparents, and others to show up at the state Capitol and stand up for their rights and the safety of their children.

Hibbs says this problem is the result of allowing evil to advance. He told his flock, “Because good people don’t vote in California, we’ve got idiots running this state—perverts.” And now, he rued, “your kids are vulnerable to—what?—state-sanctioned—call it kidnapping or trafficking.”

The bill has recently gained notice as it wends its way through the legislature.

Attorney Nicole Pearson, who’s no conservative and heads the group “Facts Law Truth Justice,” testified before a committee and said the bill is “terrifying.”

“California wants to let someone that is not related to your child remove her from school, enroll her in any other school in the state, authorize any medical treatment of her, including mental health services and drugs, without the parents’ notice and knowledge or consent,” she scolded.

“This is not fear-mongering. I’m not being hyperbolic,” she warned. “These unintended consequences are terrifying, and they are unavoidable.”
