The View’s Whoopi Goldberg was handed a note live on air Monday asking her to clarify a statement she made about President Donald Trump – leading Goldberg to angrily tear the message up in protest.
The note – which the Daily Mail has learned came from producers on the show – was handed to Goldberg by co-host Sunny Hostin during an exchange about presidents using an autopen to sign documents.
While discussing Trump’s appearance on 60 Minutes the previous night, Hostin zeroed in on Trump’s recent pardoning of convicted Binance fraudster Changpeng ‘CZ’ Zhao, after the president admitted he had ‘no idea’ who Zhao was during the interview.
‘How come you don’t know who this guy is?’ she asked about Zhao, who pleaded guilty to failing to sufficiently combat money laundering on his cryptocurrency exchange in late 2023.
‘Because he used an autopen,’ Goldberg cut in, suggesting Trump may not have known about the pardon.
As the conversation moved on, Hostin subtly passed a note to Goldberg across the table.
‘What the hell? What? “We don’t know if Trump used an autopen to pardon,” Goldberg said as she read it. ‘It was a joke!’
‘Yes, we don’t know whether Trump used an autopen to pardon-‘ replied Hostin, a legal expert, as Goldberg continued to complain.
‘Oh, come on!’ Goldberg said, before ripping the note to shreds.
‘Well, I’m sorry. The hardest thing about this job now is no one understands nuance.
‘You know when you hear a joke, when somebody’s fooling around, when they’re not saying something specific. Especially on this show, I’m very specific when I’m…pointing stuff out. When I’m making jokes, you know when I’m making jokes!
‘This is ridiculous,’ Goldberg concluded.
Trump pardoned Zhao on October 23, four months into his 87-month sentence, with a statement from the White House blaming the conviction on the Biden administration’s ‘desire to punish the cryptocurrency industry.’
The View has been known for regularly criticizing the Trump adminstration and the president’s policies while offering mostly kind words for Democrats.
In May, top brass at ABC News and parent company Disney asked the show’s panelists to dial back their constant complaining about Trump.

USDA Sec. Brooke Rollins EXPOSES Massive SNAP Fraud
Accuses Biden Regime of “Buying Votes” as 21 Democrat States REFUSE to Cooperate and Two Even SUE to Hide Illegal Alien Welfare Abuse
In her first major move as Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins is wasting no time draining the swamp inside the nation’s food assistance system.
In a fiery post on X, Rollins revealed that her department has already uncovered massive fraud within the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and that 21 Democrat-led states are actively blocking efforts to expose it.
“On my first day @USDA, we told every state to send us their SNAP data so we could make sure illegal immigrants aren’t getting benefits meant for American families. 29 states stepped up. 21 blue states refused, and two SUED US FOR ASKING! And guess what? In just the states that cooperated, we’ve already uncovered massive fraud,” Rollins wrote.
“The Democrat Party has turned its back on working Americans and built its entire strategy around protecting illegal aliens. They know if the handouts stop, those illegals will go back home, and Democrats will lose 20+ seats after the next census. There’s a new sheriff in town. @POTUS will not tolerate waste, fraud, or abuse while hardworking Americans go hungry.”
Rollins appeared on Fox News to further detail what her team discovered after just weeks of investigation.
On February 13th, her first day at USDA, Rollins sent letters to all 50 governors demanding data transparency to ensure no illegal aliens were receiving taxpayer-funded benefits.
Under the Biden regime, according to Rollins, SNAP spending ballooned by nearly 40%, with millions of new recipients added during a time of record illegal immigration and inflation.
Rollins accused the Biden White House of ‘buying votes’ through welfare expansion, suggesting that Democrats have turned federal aid into a political weapon.
Rollins said her team has reviewed $100 billion in SNAP spending and already identified widespread abuse and criminal activity.

“Today, day one at USDA, February 13th, we sent letters to every governor in America, being very clear that no illegal aliens can use SNAP — zero, zero, zero. We asked every state, for the first time in history — and this was in February — to send us their data and let us, with DOJ and a war room, actually start going through this data to better understand how this explosion of SNAP benefits happened under Joe Biden.We increased almost 40% on this program in just a couple of years under the Biden administration. Of course, we know they were trying to buy the election, but that’s a conversation for another time. Since we have asked for that data, 29 states have complied — of course, almost all the red states, and a couple of blue states too.
But in that data — and I haven’t talked about this yet publicly — we have found, after studying about $100 billion in spending, thousands and thousands of illegal uses of the EBT card. We have been moving people off of SNAP. We’ve got almost 700,000 people, I think, that we’ve moved off just since the President took office.
We’ve arrested about 118 people. So this has been ongoing. But, Rachel, to your point, what this conversation has allowed is a national spotlight on a broken and corrupt program. We found one guy in six different states getting benefits. We found about 5,000 people who are dead and still getting benefits.
It is time to drastically reform this program so that we can make sure that those who are truly needy, truly vulnerable, are getting what they need — and the rest of the corruption goes away — so we can serve the American taxpayer.”
