Report: House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries Solicited Donations from Jeffrey Epstein, Asked Him to Meet with Obama

Hakeem Jeffries Solicited Donations from Epstein, Asked Him to Meet Obama

A firm representing Hakeem Jeffries solicited Jeffrey Epstein for donations and to get him to attend a dinner with Barack Obama.

A firm representing House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) solicited Jeffrey Epstein for donations and to get him to attend a dinner with then-President Barack Obama, newly released files revealed.

Thousands of pages of documents from Epstein’s estate published by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee last week included a 2013 email from a representative of Jeffries’ asking Epstein to meet with and give money to the Democrat leader.

House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY) exposed the email on the House floor during consideration of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which passed 427-1:

New York City-based firm Dynamic SRG sent Epstein an email referring to Jeffries, who had entered congressional office just a few months prior, as “Brooklyn’s Obama.”

“Hakeem is committed to electing a Democrat majority in 2014 and is encouraging his friends to participate in the DCCC/DSCC [Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee/Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee] fundraising dinner with President Obama this coming Monday night,” Dynamic SRG’s Lisa Rossi wrote.

Rossi went on to encourage Epstein to call or email her if he would like to “get involved” with the dinner or get an “opportunity to get to know Hakeem better.”

“… Another email shows fundraisers invited Epstein to an event or to meet privately with Hakeem Jeffries as part of their 2013 effort to win a majority,” Comer said. “So Hakeem Jeffries’ campaign solicited money from Jeffrey Epstein. That’s what we found in the last document batch.”

At the time of the May 2013 email, Epstein had been out of prison for a few years after serving a 13-month sentence for procuring a child for prostitution.

The Oversight chair went on to emphasize that former President Bill Clinton “must appear for his deposition.” On the floor, Comer misspoke and said “former President Trump,” but his prepared remarks state Clinton.

“The Oversight Committee subpoenaed him… the Democrats have done nothing to help secure his appearance,” he added. “The Oversight Committee will continue to work to get the truth to the American people and to get justice for the victims. That’s our goal of this investigation.”

Donald Trump Jr. highlighted the Democrats’ hypocrisy on X, writing, “So a convicted sex offender who trafficked kids gets invited to a private dinner with Obama and a meeting with Jeffries five years after being released but it’s somehow still all about Trump? The Epstein saga is a hoax re Trump, but not the Democrats who he funded & enabled him!”

Jeffries also faced backlash this week after he refused to directly address fellow Democrat Del. Stacey Plasskett’s (D-VI) texts with Epstein, which were also revealed in the latest trove of files from the late billionaire sex offender’s estate:

Plasskett, a nonvoting member of the House from the U.S. Virgin Islands, was exposed for being coached by Epstein while she questioned a former-lawyer-turned-critic of President Donald Trump, Michael Cohen, in a 2019 congressional hearing

Epstein appeared to be watching the hearing in real time, texting Plaskett that she looked “great” and giving her advice on how to question Cohen.

One minute after Plaskett’s questioning was over, Epstein texted her, “Good work.”

Plaskett also received thousands of dollars from Epstein in campaign contributions during the 2016 and 2018 election cycles.

Epstein owned a private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Little Saint James, from 1998 until his death in 2019.

The House Freedom Caucus introduced a resolution on Tuesday to remove Plaskett from the Intelligence Committee for being “actively coached” by Epstein, Breitbart News reported.

Bill Gates ‘LOVED’ Jeffrey Epstein but Melinda banned their friendship

Messages from the myriad of Epstein files released this month have given an insight into the friendship between the disgraced financier and tech tycoon Gates.

Bill Gates ‘loved’ Jeffrey Epstein, but his former wife Melinda banned him from speaking with the convicted sex offender, explosive text messages allege.

Several messages from the myriad Epstein files released this month have given an insight into the friendship between the disgraced financier and tech tycoon Gates.

Epstein spoke with Gates’ adviser in 2017 about a venture that never materialized – partly because the Microsoft founder’s spouse wanted them to stop speaking.

‘He wants to talk to you but his wife won’t let him,’ Gates’ adviser told Epstein, per CBS News.

The adviser followed up with a series of text messages, adding that ‘he loves you’, ‘he says hi’, and ‘he feels bad’ about having to abandon their business proposals.

‘He thought great idea but his wife wouldn’t allow,’ the adviser wrote.

Melinda and Bill Gates divorced in August 2021 after 27 years of marriage, and Melinda said his friendship with Epstein was a key factor in their split.

‘I did not like that he had meetings with Jeffrey Epstein. I made that clear to him,’ she told Vanity Fair at the time, adding that she met the sex offender ‘exactly one time’

Gates has not been charged with any crimes in connection with his friendship with Epstein, who died in his prison cell on August 10, 2019.

‘Meeting with Epstein was a mistake that I regret deeply. It was a substantial error in judgement,’ Gates told CBS News in a 2022 statement.

‘I remain dedicated to my work at the Gates Foundation in partnership with Melinda, where our focus is to help reduce global inequities, giving every person the chance to live a healthy and productive life,’ he added.

The newly-released messages between Gates’ adviser and Epstein came when they were discussing an upcoming annual banquet in Washington DC.

Epstein had been hoping to sell Gates on a donor-advised fund, a tax-deductible charitable vehicle the sex offender wanted to operate.

The Microsoft founder was interested, according to his advisor, but had been talked out of it by Melinda.

After the adviser explained this while assuring Epstein that Gates ‘loves’ him, Epstein tried to change his mind.

He said that former Obama White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler ‘would love to sit with Melinda and give her the other side of Jeffrey’, according to the texts.

Ruemmler, who is currently the chief legal officer at Goldman Sachs, appeared to be close with Epstein during the final years of his life, before she started work at the bank. She has not been accused of any crimes.

Gates met Epstein while seeking donors for his global health philanthropy, and Congress released a calendar in September showing several meetings they had.

Epstein frequently met with high-flying people, who are now scrambling to downplay the relationship they had with the convicted sex offender.

He pleaded guilty in 2008 to procuring a child for prostitution in Florida. He served 13 months in custody but was released and returned to his globe-trotting lifestyle.

Few people severed ties with him until July 2019, when he was charged with sex trafficking minors in Florida and New York.

Epstein made his fortune by providing tax and estate services to billionaires, and he had a sprawling network of businessmen, politicians and royal family members.

Along with Gates, his social circle included Prince Andrew, Donald Trump, and Bill Clinton.

The Daily Mail has reached out to both Bill and Melinda Gates for comment.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, during a recent podcast appearance, said that President Trump still wants to see the Senate filibuster become a relic. Pointing to his accomplishments so far during Trump’s first year in office, Leavitt told Pod Force One host Miranda Devine, “It’s really a moot point, and he wants to see it gone so that he can have the most productive three years of any president ever.”

“There’s so much more work to do: Election integrity, voter ID, getting rid of universal mail in ballots. All of that can be done if Congress works together and gets rid of the filibuster,” she continued.

“Republicans need to get off their butts and move, and that’s what the President wants to see them do, and that’s what the American people are expecting.”

WATCH:

He is in total agreement that we need to let go of the filibuster. It’s not serving the purpose that it originally intended to serve anymore. It’s really a moot point, and he wants to see it gone so that he can have the most productive three years of any president ever. He’s already been so productive in his first term— he ushered through the largest middle class tax cut in just six months, which is amazing.

There’s so much more work to do: Election integrity, voter ID, getting rid of universal mail in ballots. All of that can be done if Congress works together and gets rid of the filibuster. So, the President is definitely talking a lot about that, both publicly and privately. I know he’s expressed his opinion on that to leaders in the Senate who may agree or disagree.

We’ll have to see how it shakes out. But there’s so much that can be accomplished, and we must take advantage of having the most productive President in the Oval Office. You know, Republicans need to get off their butts and move, and that’s what the President wants to see them do, and that’s what the American people are expecting.

Trump has repeatedly called on the GOP to wield their power since last month, arguing that the Democrats have already tried and will try again when they’re back in power.

During a press conference earlier this month, amid the Senate Democrats’ historic government shutdown, Trump called for Republican Senators to terminate filibuster to reopen the government and pass election integrity laws with voter ID and one-day voting, border security, tax cuts, and “so many things” that the Democrats will never vote for.

“The way to do it for the Republicans is to terminate the filibuster,” Trump said. “I wouldn’t have been in favor of that a long time ago, but you know, the Democrats are going to do that, and most of you will admit the Democrats are going to do that. So why aren’t we doing it? And I think only a foolish person would be against that, especially when you realize that these are crazed people.”

Trump then pulled out a list of “things that we’d pass if we terminated the filibuster,” including voter ID requirements, banning mail-in voting, cashless bail reform, ending transgender insanity in women’s sports, and ending taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal aliens.
