Melania Trump breaks silence on ‘coward’ Jimmy Kimmel’s ‘hateful and violent’ skit and calls on ABC to FIRE him

Melania breaks silence on ‘coward’ Jimmy Kimmel’s ‘hateful’ skit

First Lady Melania Trump has broken her silence about comedian Jimmy Kimmel’s latest major faux pas.

Melania Trump has broken her silence about comedian Jimmy Kimmel’s latest major faux pas.

‘Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy – his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America,’ the First Lady wrote on X Monday morning.

‘People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate,’ she continued.

‘A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him. Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand. How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community,’ Melania concluded.

Kimmel was slammed for claiming Melania looked like a ‘widow’ just days before shots were fired at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Kimmel held a parody of the dinner, an annual event honoring journalism and funding scholarships, on Thursday when he called Melania an ‘expectant widow.’

‘Our First Lady, Melania, is here. Look at Melania, so beautiful. Mrs Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow,’ Kimmel said before turning his attention to the First Lady’s birthday.

‘You know, Melania’s birthday is on Sunday. She’s planning to celebrate at home the same way she always does, looking out a window and whispering, “What have I done?”‘

The parody skit came just days before gunfire erupted at the event on Saturday evening in Washington, DC, which saw President Trump in attendance in person for the first time while in office.

Kimmel’s quips during the event parody, however, received backlash.

Marc Beckman, senior advisor to Melania, told the Daily Mail exclusively that Kimmel ‘should be terminated.’

‘Our community should not tolerate violent political rhetoric at the expense of the First Family or any of our nation’s political leaders, regardless of party affiliation. And Kimmel continues to play these disrespectful and dangerous games knowing very well that he is protected by the ABC network. It’s enough – ABC should draw the line.’

Larry O’Connor, editor of the conservative outlet Townhall, described the comedian as a ‘broken man.’

‘@disney, you have a problem,’ he posted on X.

Another user wrote: ‘Kimmel is actually worse than the other ‘comedians.’ You can see the seething hatred on his face toward Trump.’

‘It’s not even inherently funny. You have to be deranged to laugh at that,’ a third user said.

‘He’s not broken. He’s evil.’

One user described Kimmel’s skit as ‘sick and tasteless,’ and asked: ‘Is it time for ABC to pull the plug on Jimmy’s show?’

Political commentator Link Lauren wrote: ‘Many in the mainstream media have stoked division and hatred for years. Jimmy Kimmel just made a disgusting ‘joke’ about Melania Trump becoming a widow.

‘After the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and what transpired with President Trump, now they suddenly want to act shocked,’ he added.

Guests barely had the chance to tuck into their appetizers before Secret Service agents swarmed the Washington Hilton’s ballroom following a series of ‘loud noises.’

The ballroom, filled with the nation’s top journalists, Hollywood celebrities, and Cabinet members, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, became a scene of pure pandemonium.

The incident occurred at the same hotel where President Ronald Reagan was shot in 1981 – an eerie historical parallel that was not lost on those in attendance.

As Donald Trump and the First Lady were whisked to safety, terrified attendees took cover anywhere they could as they waited anxiously for news.

The suspected shooter, identified as 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen, had breached the security checkpoint at the event before he was swiftly taken down by law enforcement.

Trump, still wearing his tuxedo, addressed the nation just two hours later. ‘When you’re impactful, they go after you,’ he said defiantly. ‘They seem to think he was a lone wolf. We’re not going to let anybody take over our society.’

A Secret Service agent was shot during the incident, but is expected to recover, as the President continued on to say that the agent ‘was shot from a very close distance with a very powerful gun, and the [bulletproof] vest did the job.’

‘I just spoke to the officer and he’s doing great,’ Trump added.

The White House has confirmed that the dinner will be rescheduled within 30 days, promising an event that is ‘bigger and better.’

But for now, Washington remains on high alert as it grapples with yet another attempt on the President’s life.

Republicans are blasting what they describe as dangerously lax security after an attempted assassination at the 2026 White House Correspondents’ Dinner at the Washington Hilton, where President Donald Trump, the first lady, and top officials were rushed from the ballroom as shots were fired near a security checkpoint.

Authorities have identified the suspect as 31‑year‑old Cole Tomas Allen of Torrance, California, who charged a Secret Service screening area outside the main ballroom with a shotgun, a handgun, and multiple knives, shooting a Secret Service agent in the chest before being tackled; the agent survived thanks to a ballistic vest.

Investigators claim writings attributed to Allen, including a manifesto and social media posts, criticized Trump administration policies, contained anti‑Trump and anti‑Christian rhetoric, referred to himself as the “Friendly Federal Assassin,” and indicated he intended to target Trump officials, likely including the president, leading authorities to treat the case as a politically motivated assassination attempt.

Even before the shots were fired, some attendees were alarmed by what they called minimal ID checks and screening in the hotel lobby, noting that guests could enter the Washington Hilton and move toward pre‑event areas without bag checks or metal detectors until just before the secured ballroom.

Kari Lake wrote on X that she “can’t believe how lax the security was at the White House correspondents dinner tonight,” saying that when she arrived, “nobody asked to visibly INSPECT my ticket nor asked for my photo identification,” and later reiterated in interviews that the setup felt shockingly exposed given the presence of the president, vice president, and Cabinet.

Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin similarly recounted that he flashed his ticket and was “waved through in one second” without having his name checked against a list, showing ID, being patted down or going through a metal detector, and warned that if he had hidden an explosive in his shoe or jacket, he could have reached packed pre‑party ballrooms with no additional screening.

Other Republican allies pointed to reports that there were “no checkpoints to get into the hotel” and “no real buffer” between public hotel spaces and VIP areas, arguing that a gunman was effectively able to roam near a room containing the president and much of the line of succession before confronting the Secret Service barrier.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna stated in a now-deleted post on X, “The entire Cabinet, the press corps, and numerous members of government were present at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, yet security was noticeably relaxed. Multiple attendees have since reported that it was inadequate.”

‘Left-wing cult of hatred’: GOP goes on offense after Trump assassination attempt

‘Left-wing cult of hatred’: GOP goes on offense after Trump assassination attempt

Leavitt made the remarks after a gunman attempted to storm the White House Correspondents Association dinner on Saturday evening.

Republicans went on offense Monday in the wake of yet another assassination attempt against President Donald Trump, asserting that Democrats were fostering a “left-wing cult of hatred” that drives adherents to violent outbursts.

“The left-wing cult of hatred against the president and all of those who support him and work for him has gotten multiple people hurt and killed and it almost did so again this weekend,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said during the press briefing.

Leavitt made the remarks after a gunman attempted to storm the White House Correspondents Association dinner on Saturday evening. The suspect, Cole Allen, is in custody and faces arraignment on Monday.

Speaking on the “John Solomon Reports” podcast on Monday, Rep. Abe Hamadeh, R-Ariz., excoriated former President Barack Obama for downplaying and obfuscating the motivations of the alleged gunman.

“The reality is that this, this gunman, this would be assassin, tried to kill the president, tried to kill his administration officials,” he said. “And what Barack Obama with his statement, you know he this is a former president at a time when we knew the facts. We knew that the man had a manifesto that detailed who he was targeting for him to try to change reality and say we don’t yet know the motives. Well we do.”

“I mean, we quickly forget that just last year, Virginia elected Jay Jones a for as attorney general who just who called for the death of his political opponents,” he added. “You know, and so we see the left wing violence is scary, and I don’t see the mainstream media calling it out enough, and I hope it was a wake up call at the White House Correspondents Dinner the other night, because, you know, Barack Obama should not get away with saying that by saying that we don’t know the motive.”

“We do know what the motive is, and he has to call it out. Why? Because too often it’s his side. It’s the left wing media,” he added.
