Bikini-clad spring-breakers bomb US citizenship questions – and critics are blasting the American education system as a failure

Hordes of Florida spring breakers are being mocked mercilessly online for failing to answer a single basic American trivia question correctly — with one wildly declaring that Asia borders Canada and that the aptly named Pentagon is shaped like a square.

Are you smarter than a spring breaker?

Hordes of bikini-clad spring breakers are being mocked mercilessly online for failing to answer simple questions from the US citizenship test — with one wildly declaring that Asia borders Canada and that the aptly named Pentagon is shaped like a square.

The footage, posted online by conservative social media personality Kaitlin Bennett over the weekend, has led some jeering critics so say it’s proof that the American education system has failed, and the US Department of Education should be disbanded.

The clip, which racked up more than 150,000 views in its first 48 hours, showcased scores of college kids in swimsuits in Clearwater Beach, Fla., incorrectly firing off answers to questions about the 2nd Amendment, from whom the US declared independence and whose face is plastered on the $100 bill.

Asked to name a US state that borders Canada, one dumbstruck student said “Asia” while another said, “I didn’t even know Canada had a border.”

One young woman, who confessed she is majoring in elementary education, suggested the US won independence from Spain during the Revolutionary War, the video shows.

Another confidently said the Civil War was fought between the “East and West” and that the 2nd Amendment is the right to vote.

Others, meanwhile, insisted the Pentagon building was shaped like a square and that there were only seven US senators.

When one was asked how many justices are on the Supreme Court, one girl sought to clarify: “So when you say that, do you mean like the FBI?”

Reactions to the clip, posted on the Liberty Hangout YouTube page, were swift — and unforgiving — on social media.

“I’ve never seen a better video proving why the department of education needed to be abolished,” one person tweeted.

“The US Department of Education really did their job, I see,” another wrote on X.

One viewer griped, “Defund the department of education already. This is embarrassing.”

And one user raged that “public education is a dismal failure” — arguing that “every 8th grader should know this and definitely before graduating high school.”

Speaker Johnson Issues Warning: Congress Has the Authority to Defund and Disband Federal Courts (Video)

Speaker Johnson Issues Warning: Congress Has the Authority to Defund and Disband Federal Courts (Video) | The Gateway Pundit | by Jim Hoft

Speaker Mike Johnson’s provocative warning to Congress about defunding federal courts raises critical questions about judicial power and accountability amid escalating legal challenges. This bold stance signals a potential shift in the balance of authority.

It appears that Speaker Mike Johnson has finally woken up to the threats by radical leftist judges who have taken over the White House and US executive branch of government.

Johnson on Tuesday warned that Congress has the authority to defund these radical leftists who are running a legal insurrection against the country today.

Since returning to the White House on January 20, 2025, President Donald J. Trump has been met with an unprecedented onslaught of legal challenges from far-left activist judges and groups determined to sabotage his second term in power.

Appearing on The War Room with Steve Bannon, Josh Hammer, Senior Counsel for the Article III Project, recently warned that what America is witnessing is not just judicial activism—it’s an outright judicial insurrection.

So far, the Supreme Court has shamefully failed to shut down the lawlessness of these far-left activists.

Attorney Josh Hammer previously noted that the first Trump administration, from 2017 to 2021 faced 65 nationwide injunctions.

President Trump, in less than two months, has faced 137 legal challenges by activist judges. Only two cases are closed.

On Tuesday, Mike Johnson threatened to act against these lawless America-hating district judges.

ABC Reporter: It’s getting pretty ugly. House Speaker Mike Johnson issuing an open threat now, saying that Congress has authority to stop providing funding to federal courts. Listen to what the speaker said just a little while ago.

Speaker Mike Johnson: We do have authority over the federal courts, as you know. We can eliminate an entire district court. We have powered funding over the courts and all these other things. But desperate times call for desperate measures, and Congress is going to act. So stay tuned for that.

CIA Director John Ratcliffe Says Signal Is Authorized for Government Use

Central Intelligence Agency Director John Ratcliffe testified to the Senate Tuesday that government officials are authorized to use the encrypted messaging application Signal for work, following the disclosure that the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic got inadvertently added to a group chat of senior Trump national security officials.

Central Intelligence Agency Director John Ratcliffe testified to the Senate Tuesday that government officials are authorized to use the encrypted messaging application Signal for work, following the disclosure that the editor-in-chief of the Atlantic got inadvertently added to a Signal group chat of senior Trump national security officials discussing strikes on Yemen.

“One of the first things that happened when I was confirmed as CIA director was Signal was loaded onto my computer at the CIA, as it is for most CIA officers,” Ratcliffe said.

“One of the things that I was briefed on very early, Senator, was by the CIA records management folks about about the use of Signal as a permissible work use. It is. That is a practice that preceded the current administration to the Biden administration,” he added.

“It is permissible to use to communicate and coordinate for work purposes, provided, Senator, that any decisions that are made are also recorded through formal channels. So those were procedures that were implemented,” he continued. He said his staff implemented, followed, and complied with those processes.

He also said, contrary to what the Atlantic suggested, that his communications in the group were “entirely permissible and lawful and did not include classified information.”
