The US Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed the Trump Administration’s transgender military ban to take effect.
The Supreme Court stayed the lower court’s preliminary injunction on the transgender military ban pending appeal in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
The high court made the decision 6-3. Liberal Justices Sotomayor, Kagan and Jackson would have denied the application.
There was no explanation included in the Supreme Court’s decision.

Last month President Trump asked the Supreme Court to intervene after a lower court temporarily blocked his ban on transgender troops.
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, stacked with leftist judges, previously denied the Trump Administration’s stay of injunction on the transgender troop ban a couple of weeks ago.
The three judges: Wallace Tashima (Clinton), John Owens (Obama), and Roopali Desai (Biden) denied the request for a stay.
In January President Trump signed the “Restoring America’s Fighting Force” executive order and the “Prioritizing Military Excellence and Readiness” executive orders, which direct every element of the U.S. military to “operate free from any preference based on race or sex” and root out gender insanity and made up pronoun usage, respectively.
In March US District Judge Benjamin Hale Settle in Washington State issued a nationwide preliminary injunction.
Judge Settle, a George W. Bush appointee, said the Trump DOJ’s arguments have not been persuasive.
President Trump’s DOJ filed an appeal, and the DC Circuit Court denied the administration’s motion to stay Judge Settle’s preliminary injunction.
“Appellants have not demonstrated that they will suffer irreparable harm absent a stay,” the appeals court said in a previous order.
The Supreme Court stayed the lower court’s injunction while the case proceeds.

Houthis Surrender After Trump’s Bombing Barrage — Red Sea Attacks to Stop
President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that the Houthi rebels in Yemen have thrown in the towel and will stop attacking ships going through the Red Sea.
The news comes after the president ordered almost two months of constant bombing attacks against the Houthis. “We will stop the bombings,” Trump told reporters during a press conference. “They have capitulated…we will take their word that they will not be blowing up ships anymore, and that’s the purpose of what we were doing.”
Secretary of State Marco Rubio explained that “this was always a freedom of navigation issue.”
“You had a band of individuals with advanced weaponry that were threatening global shipping, and the job was to get that to stop, and if it’s going to stop, then we can stop,” Rubio continued.

Next, the U.S. commander-in-chief ordered a blitz of more than 100 precision air strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen, destroying command and control facilities, weapons manufacturing facilities, and advanced weapons storage locations. The U.S. also confirmed the air strikes had led to the death of several Houthi leaders, without providing additional details on who exactly was killed. The crushing of the Houthis has effectively wrecked the last remnants of the mullahs’ ‘Axis of Resistance’ and the theocratic regime is now in its weakest state since the 1979 revolution that brought them to power.
The top U.S. military general for the Middle East, Gen. Erik Kurilla, met with senior Yemeni military officials last week during a trip to Saudi Arabia. Kurilla and his Yemeni counterparts discussed the ongoing U.S. campaign against the Houthis, “designed to restore freedom of navigation,” according to the United States Central Command (CENTCOM). President Trump’s Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth, warned on April 14 that the American campaign, costing an estimated $1 billion so far, is far from over. “It’s about to get worse,” he said, describing intensified operations ahead. In a further show of force, Hegseth ordered additional squadrons and air defense assets to the region. A second aircraft carrier was redirected from the Indo-Pacific to bolster the U.S. presence in the Middle East, alongside deployments of Patriot missile batteries and a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system. Although the enhanced military posture has primarily targeted the Houthis, officials say it is also meant to send a clear signal to Iran.

Houthis Confirm Ceasefire As Trump Essentially Declares ‘Mission Accomplished’
The Houthis have confirmed there will be a ceasefire in the Red Sea with the United States. The deal was mediated by Oman, and this looks like a ‘mission accomplished’ moment for Trump where he’s ready to grasp onto a way out of the quagmire the US found itself in. Wisely, he is getting the US out, and Israel appears to be stepping up in terms of its own defense.
Mideast war correspondent Elijah Magnier observes, “The US intelligently stopped the bombing on Yemen due to the lack of objectives, the empty outcome and the high cost versus no gain.” Others have noted this is essentially a declare ‘mission accomplish’ and cut and run moment, amid no better alternatives.
